Talk by Father Themi about helping victims of the Ebola Virus in Sierra Leone
On Monday 6th March, Father Themi will give a talk about his work helping children and families in Ebola stricken Sierra Leone. The talk will start at 7:00pm at the House of St Gregory and St Macrina, 1 Canterbury Road, Oxford OX2 6LU.
Father Themi used to be a rock star, but then found a new calling and became a Orthodox priest. He moved to Kenya and since then has been active in helping the poor in Africa with the help and sponsorship of the charity Paradise 4 Kids.
Father Themi is currently raising funds in order to open new orphanages, in particular to help the children of those who died during the Ebola outbreak in Sierra Leone. He has raised funds which will enable two new orphanages to open, and hopes to raise enough to open two more.
This is a fund-raising event. Entrance is free and there will be a retiring collection to support Father Themi's work.
